Today, I beat my doppleganger as R/W. I won in under 10 seconds...
I loaded up the swordsmanship attribute, loaded up on sword skills with 2 useless nature rituals to keep doppleganger busy, and I went through all my sword skills 1 1/2 times, and he dropped like a fly (he also only got one or two hits in  )
